In the midst of busy schedules and constant distractions, the deeper questions of purpose and calling often go unasked. Yet God continues to speak—quietly, persistently—inviting hearts to something more. For those willing to listen, the call to vocation remains as alive today as ever.
The Diocese of Norwich invites all who are curious, discerning, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of God’s call to join a special virtual evening discussion, The Priestly Life as a Vocation, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 7 p.m.
The evening will be led by Fr. Mark O’Donnell, pastor of St. Brendan the Navigator, who will offer insight into the beauty, challenges and profound meaning of the priestly vocation. Drawing from his own experience, Father O’Donnell will reflect on what it means to live a life dedicated fully to Christ and His Church, and how that call continues to resonate in the modern world.
Whether someone is actively discerning a vocation, supporting a loved one who is, or simply interested in learning more about the priesthood, this discussion offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and consider how God may be calling each of us.
