Position Summary

St. Patrick Cathedral School is seeking an enthusiastic Grade 8 Teacher dedicated to creating an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning while following the mission of Catholic education and the curriculum of the Diocese of Norwich.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be an active Catholic, knowledgeable of his or her faith.
• Determine students’ strengths and weaknesses and build lessons accordingly.
• Actively and creatively foster a love of learning.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
• Work well with faculty and staff as a team player.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Create a safe and productive classroom environment.
• Utilize technology as appropriate to the Grade 8 classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Teaching certification required.
• Some experience preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.
