Arrangements for Bishop Emeritus Daniel P. Reilly

 

The Catholic community joins together in mourning the loss of Bishop Daniel Patrick Reilly, the revered fourth bishop of Worcester and third bishop of Norwich. At the age of 96, Bishop Reilly passed away peacefully at 8:10 p.m. on June 18. His dedication to the Church and his faithful service have left a lasting legacy. The Diocese of Worcester invites all to join in celebrating his life and legacy through a series of services held in his honor.

 
Services and Memorials

The faithful are welcome to attend the services for Bishop Reilly at St. Paul Cathedral, 15 Chatham St., Worcester.

Reception of the Body

After the funeral Mass, Bishop Reilly will be interred at St. Ann Cemetery, 72 Church St., Cranston, Rhode Island, during a committal service and burial.

Continuing His Mission

To honor Bishop Reilly’s legacy, the Diocese of Worcester welcomes memorial donations to the Priests’ Retirement Fund or Vocations at the Diocese of Worcester, 49 Elm Street, Worcester, MA 01609. These donations will help support the continued mission of fostering vocations and caring for retired priests.

 

Arrangements for the services are being handled by Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester.
