As the Advent season approaches and our hearts turn toward the light of Christ, the Diocesan Evangelization and Discipleship team is inviting the faithful to take part in a simple yet meaningful act of charity.
This year, the team is collecting unused Christmas cards that will be lovingly written out by the youth of our diocese and delivered to the patrons of St. Vincent de Paul Place, Norwich. It is a small gesture with the power to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to those who may be struggling during the holidays.
Each card becomes more than a greeting— it becomes a reminder that someone is thinking of them, praying for them, and wishing them peace in the season of Christ’s birth.
Parishes, families, and individuals are encouraged to participate. Whether it’s an extra box tucked away in a drawer or a few leftover cards from previous years, every contribution helps brighten someone’s Christmas.
All unused cards may be delivered to:
The Chancery
201 Broadway
Norwich, CT
Deadline: December 5th
During a season centered on hope and generosity, this effort offers us a beautiful way to accompany our neighbors in need and to encourage our young people to live out the Gospel through acts of love.

Let us help share the joy of Christ— one card at a time.
