Celebrating 10 Years of NATIVE EYES Clinics at St. Pius X Church

On Saturday, May 16, a powerful story of service and transformation will come to life in Middletown. Titled “Seeing is Believing,” this special event invites the community to witness firsthand the impact of a mission that has restored not only sight, but dignity, confidence and hope to thousands.

Hosted by Artists for World Peace (AFWP), alongside its dedicated medical travel team and the Padre Pio Foundation of America, the gathering will highlight the remarkable work of the AFWP NATIVE EYES Clinics, a collaborative outreach that has been changing lives since 2016.

Over the past decade, these clinics have provided free eye care to 9,394 tribal and community members in Tanzania, Connecticut and South Dakota. For many, this care has meant the difference between isolation and opportunity, between struggling in the shadows and stepping forward into a clearer, brighter future.

Guests will hear moving stories from members of the medical travel team, view footage from past clinics and learn how they can help bring life-changing care and hope to children and families in underserved Native communities.

Light refreshments will be served, and a small section of the AFWP Peace Wall will be available for viewing and purchase.
