The Norwich Diocesan Council of Catholic Women invites women throughout the Diocese of Norwich to help provide essential items for babies and families in need.
The Norwich Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will host its 48th Annual Layette Event on Sunday, June 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, located at 1650 Route 12 in Gales Ferry.
Women throughout the Diocese of Norwich are invited to participate by donating essential items for babies and young children. Requested donations include diapers, especially larger sizes, wipes, baby clothes ranging from newborn to toddler size 3, crib blankets, formula, baby food and other infant care necessities.

All donated items will benefit Norwich Diocesan Catholic Charities, with representatives from Catholic Charities expected to attend the event.
The annual Layette Program has long served as a tangible expression of compassion and support for mothers and families in need throughout the diocese. Organizers hope the community will once again come together in generosity to help provide comfort, care and practical assistance to local families.

Light refreshments will be served during the gathering.
