Anticipating the Coming of Christ

This month’s Hope and Faith video series, sponsored by the Office of Faith Events, has a special guest speaker for the four weeks of Advent - The Most Reverend Michael R. Cote. His thought-provoking reflections will be a welcome addition to your Christmas preparation. Bishop Cote will share reflections on patience, love, peace, and anticipation. The videos will be released every Wednesday throughout the month of December.

Families are invited to join the Diocese of Norwich for a special pilgrimage celebrating St. Thérèse of Lisieux on October 1. The day will offer opportunities for prayer, fellowship, recreation and learning, with activities planned for children of all ages. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive in Burrillville, R.I., followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 10 a.m., celebrated by Bishop Reidy. Relic of Christ’s Tunic to be Displayed for Pope Leo in France

The Holy Tunic will travel almost four miles from Argenteuil, France, to the pope’s youth vigil at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. For the first time, a pope will witness an exposition of the Holy Tunic, the garment worn by Christ during his passion, which is preserved in the Basilica of Saint-Denis in Argenteuil, France.
