Office of Faith Events

The Office of Faith Events assists the Diocese and its parishes, to bring high quality supportive services and events that enable Catholics of all ages, especially youth, to know, practice and share their faith in a meaningful and purposeful way. The office encompasses Catholic Family Services, Catholic Scouting, Catechesis, C.Y.O. Sports, Evangelization, Faith Formation, RCIA, and Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

Week 5

This week on Hope and Faith series we are joined by national Youth speaker Mike Patin.  Mike ponders during these "stay at home" days, the question and anticipation of "when" can be tough. Maybe the invitation and reminder of "while" is a better word on which to focus.

 

Week 4

This week on the Hope and Faith Series, Andrea Hoisl –Director of the Office of Faith Events, speaks about the Beatitudes in light of the Coronavirus.   Andrea reminds us how each of us is fulfilling the call of the Gospel during this difficult Pandemic. 

 

Week 3

This week on Hope and Faith series is joined by national Youth speaker Robert Feduccia.  Robert reflects on what God wants us to focus on each day and to have ultimate trust in Him during this Pandemic. 

 

Week 2

This week on the Hope and Faith Series, Mary-Jo McLaughlin -Coordinator of Catholic Family Services in the Office of Faith Events, speaks about not despairing but finding our Hope in Jesus.  We are not in darkness when Jesus is our light.

 

Week 1

As the Lenten Series has ended, the Office of Faith Events has decided to continue weekly videos focused on Hope and Faith during the Pandemic.  This week, Liza Roach, Youth and Young Adult Minister for the Diocese of Norwich, kicks off the series during Holy Week speaking about the numerous times we hear "Be Not Afraid" in the Bible.  She ponders; How does this message apply to our lives in the time of the pandemic?
