Office of Faith Events

The Office of Faith Events assists the Diocese and its parishes, to bring high-quality supportive services and events that enable Catholics of all ages, especially youth, to know, practice and share their faith in a meaningful and purposeful way. The office encompasses Catholic Family Services, Catholic Scouting, Catechesis, C.Y.O. Sports, Evangelization, Faith Formation, RCIA, and Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

Now that many restrictions are being lifted in the State of Connecticut, we are so happy to announce that this year’s 11th Annual Seton Scholarship Dinner will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 4 p.m. at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station, located at 55 Bridge Road, Haddam. This is the new rescheduled date from 2020. The commitment of those involved in our Catholic school education in the diocese has been well known for years. Sunday, October 3 is the date set for the annual Silver and Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Norwich. Bishop Michael Cote will be the main celebrant for this year’s Mass, which will honor the enduring love of married couples. The Mass will begin at 2 p.m. Each couple registering for the Mass will receive a signed certificate from the bishop. Virtual Vacation Bible School Comes to the Diocese
Virtual Vacation Bible School The Office of Faith Event’s Virtual Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a 4-day summer program providing fun and faith about the workings of God for children through music, games and fun Bible lessons.
