Padre Pio Relic Tour 2025

Padre Pio Relic Tour 2025 Coming to Connecticut

       Saint Pius X Church, Middletown • October 15–18, 2025

 

The Diocese of Norwich will soon welcome a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual event. The Padre Pio Foundation of America (PPFOA), in collaboration with Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Middletown, Connecticut, is hosting the historic Padre Pio Relic Tour 2025 this October.

For the first time in history, Padre Pio’s full-size habit, along with one of his gloves, will leave San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, and travel to the United States. The sacred relics will be accompanied by Capuchin friars from Our Lady of Grace Friary, Padre Pio’s own friary in Italy.

 

This extraordinary opportunity will invite the faithful to gather for prayer, blessing, and veneration of the relics, deepening devotion to the beloved saint known for his holiness, humility, and extraordinary spiritual gifts.

 

Schedule of Events

All liturgies and veneration will take place at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown, CT.

 

Wednesday, October 15

4:30 PM – Mass & Procession of Relics (Celebrated by Bishop Richard F. Reidy)

Following Mass until 8:00 PM – Blessing & Veneration of the Relics

 

Thursday, October 16

7:00 AM – Mass in Honor of Padre Pio

8:00 AM – Holy Hour with Padre Pio’s Relics

9:00 AM – Mass in Italian in Honor of Padre Pio

10:00 AM–1:00 PM – Blessing & Veneration of the Relics

6:00 PM–9:00 PM – Blessing & Veneration of the Relics

 

Saturday, October 18

9:00 AM – Mass in Honor of Padre Pio

Following Mass until 12:00 PM – Blessing & Veneration of the Relics

5:00 PM – Sunday Anticipated Mass

Following Mass until 8:00 PM – Blessing & Veneration of the Relics

 

Additional Opportunities at the Padre Pio Foundation

The Padre Pio Foundation of America, located just five miles away in Cromwell, will also open its doors during the relic tour. Visitors will be able to venerate additional relics of Padre Pio in the PPFOA Chapel and experience the foundation’s ongoing mission to spread his message of faith, hope, and healing.

 

Open to All

This sacred event is free and open to the public. The PPFOA warmly invites all to join in welcoming the Capuchin friars and venerating these holy relics. It is a rare chance for the faithful of Connecticut and beyond to encounter the spiritual legacy of Padre Pio in an intimate and prayerful way.
