Discover the power of gratitude in your marriage at a special enrichment day with Pat and Mary-Jo McLaughlin on Saturday, October 18 at St. Edmund’s Retreat Center on Enders Island in Mystic, CT.
This enrichment will focus on the benefits and value to couples of practicing gratitude in their relationship. Participants will be given practical tips on cultivating an “attitude of gratitude” to strengthen their bond and deepen their call to holiness in marriage.
The day will begin with Holy Mass in the Chapel at 9:00 AM, followed by check-in at 9:45 AM, with coffee, tea, and pastries available. At 12:30 PM, couples will enjoy a hot lunch served in the dining hall of the historic Enders House, an early 20th-century arts and crafts style mansion and the oldest structure on the island.
The enrichment is led by Pat and Mary-Jo McLaughlin, who have been active in marriage ministry with Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) for more than 15 years. They have presented numerous experiences and marriage enrichments and currently serve on the formation team for new WWME presenting teams across North America. Mary-Jo is the retired Catholic Family Services Coordinator for the Diocese of Norwich, where she oversaw marriage preparation and family life programs. Pat is the retired Director of Public Works for the City of Norwich.
The cost for the program is $75 per couple, which includes lunch and all materials. Register online at enders.is/programs.
