Spiritual Renewal Ministry Offers Compassionate Care

"COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE WEARY AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST" - Matthew 11:28

Spiritual Renewal Ministry has been active in the diocese of Norwich for more than 40 years.

Our mission is to help people develop a closer relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, by offering spiritual programs such as parish missions, Life in the Spirit seminars, retreats, Masses of Healing and Hope, and Healing and Freedom conferences, to name a few.

We are living in a very difficult time, dealing with a pandemic health crisis, financial problems, and isolation. What do we do?  Where do we go?  How do we cope?

We know God is always there to help us in any situation. At times we need to take the initiative. Often, we can help ourselves, but at times we need others to help us.

That is why this ministry has a team of compassionate and caring members available to help you. Due to social distancing they are available to pray with you over the telephone.

Please call the Spiritual Renewal Office at 860-887-0702, and one of the members will return your call. The ministry's dedicated team of compassionate and caring members available to help you includes John Bass, Donna Marotto, Glenn Miller, Rita Patten and Judith Hughes.

All conversations are confidential. Don’t delay, pick up your phone and call the above phone number.

Why not try Jesus for help at this most critical time?  We look forward to hearing from you.

Judith Hughes, Co-Director of Spiritual Renewal Services

Haiti in Crisis: A Call to Stand in Faith, Hope, and Solidarity

Although I would not have believed it possible, life continues to worsen for the people of Haiti. People who have lived with virtually nothing all their lives now have even less. People who are used to being hungry now find themselves faced with starvation. Parents, once strong and proud as t...

The Assumption of Mary: Our Mother’s Homecoming
On August 15, the Church celebrates one of the most beautiful feasts of the liturgical year: the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day is more than an occasion to honor Our Lady; it is a glimpse into the destiny that awaits all who live and die in Christ. Declared a Holy Day of Obligation, the Assumption invites the faithful to gather in joy and thanksgiving for God’s masterpiece in Mary. The Assumption teaches that at the end of her earthly life, the Blessed Virgin was taken up, body and soul, into heavenly glory. While the Church has lo...

Catholic Parish Takes Flight at Annual Balloon Festival
Editor's Note: Sometimes the best opportunities to share the Gospel come when we step beyond the walls of our churches and meet people where they are. The following story from the Archdiocese of Hartford shows how one parish found a creative way to do just that—offering a joyful, visible witness to Christ at a community event. May it inspire other parishes to seek similar ways of planting seeds of faith in unexpected places. And if you get a chance, head up to Plainville and check out the balloons! A rainbow of balloons painted the sky during the Plainv...
